“Joy of Plumbing” is a pleasant little painting show we produced in collaboration with our friends at Curiosity for Roto-Rooter. It was directed and edited by David Klingerman.

To mimic lighting from similar shows from this era, we referenced behind the scenes photos and reconstructed a similar lighting setup using old school tungsten lights. Captured in 6k digital format, the final color grade involved a degradation process to mimic vhs tape color and distortion.

The action is a mix of scripted and improv, featuring Mike, a painter who found comfort during quarantine by painting still life's of toilet paper rolls. He made a perfect fit for the show.
