Hello Kayleigh 😎

It’s not every day we get to meet someone whose energy blows us away - but one phone call and I was over the moon for Kayleigh Lennon. That’s why I feel so fortunate to announce that Kayleigh has officially joined the Storyocity team as our newest Producer.  Kayleigh brings with her a wealth of production knowledge from years of experience producing haircare & hygiene content for P&G; and we’re excited for her transition into the art & film side of our industry.

But don’t let us tell you all about her, here’s an interview with the Producer extraordinaire…

What excited you about Storyocity?

HI! I am so excited to be a part of the Storyocity team. I am really excited to explore the different avenues of creative with the team. Working closely with directors will be a new adventure for me, so I am excited to see how I can help elevate and bring the creative to life through planning and logistics. I always say, my way of being creative is putting the puzzle pieces (logistics) together to make the bigger picture. I am eager to get to work with and watch the directors do their craft. I am also extremely excited to broaden my horizons with the type of work Storyocity takes on. I come with a background in commercial, digital/social advertising and print. It will be a new challenge to step into the world of documentary and short films. Lastly, I am ecstatic to work with such passionate, kind, and driven creatives. I have been fortunate to work with such amazing creatives since the beginning of my career, so continuing to work with great people will help me grow as a creative and as a person, of course!

What do you hope to accomplish as a part of the team?

I hope to create processes at Storyocity that allow a smooth creative flow from start to finish for the directors, crew, and post production staff. I have really fallen in love with the art of project planning and how logistics allows the creative to come to life.

One thing that truly made me feel like I am in a space of diverse collaboration is when I asked the director’s what they would like for me to continue in the footsteps of the former producer. They said one of the most important things the former producer prioritized was to lead and open doors for diversity and inclusivity in our work. This speaks volumes to me, and lets me know I have big (and great!) shoes to fill! I am so excited to have that at the forefront of our work and open doors for all creatives around the Cincinnati area and beyond. I know there is so much talent in and beyond the walls of Storyocity, and I am so excited to find that talent and collaborate with them in our work in whatever capacity that may be.

Do you have any philosophies or principles that guide your work?

One thing that I will always live by is leading with kindness. In whatever project you are working on, with whoever you are collaborating with; kindness will always be a priority. Kindness, in my eyes, opens the door for opportunity, honest conversations and a mindset that all collaboration is valued when creating meaningful content.

To expand on my earlier comment on opening the doors for others, I have had the privilege of former Producers, Directors, and Editors in the Cincinnati Area opening doors for me since the beginning of my career. Whether it was referencing me for a job, allowing me to lead a project, or simply being invited to have a seat at the table and a voice in the room; I have been met with an unbelievable amount of kindness and generosity by my mentors and peers in this industry. It is my goal in this next chapter of my career to open doors and give opportunities to artists in the industry and allow them to showcase their talents, creativity and ambition through my work with Storyocity. It is only right to continue to forge a path that was so generously given to me.

Kayleigh is joining the team at a critical moment in the history of the company, and will be involved in several short films, branded docs and a commercial campaign over the next month or two.
