“I grew up eating ants as a way to make friends and get people to laugh. When I was 18, I wrote a 15 minute prog-metal song for a battle of the bands. The first feature film script I wrote had a fire fight between Robots and The Yakuza in a small town chain taco restaurant. Since childhood, I’ve always gone out of my way to entertain others, but most importantly, entertain myself too. If I can’t watch what I make and enjoy it, or laugh at it, then what’s the point?”

David is a Cincinnati based Director and has had a home on the Storyocity roster since the studio began. He’s a real jack of all trades, and *almost* a master of all. With deep roots in music, including a background studying film scoring at the Berklee College of Music, David approaches his work with rhythm and energy. He’s been pioneering longer form content for the studio, like longer form documentary content and feature length films. He’s a dreamer and a challenger, and he’s bound by an endless love for creating.

It’s no strange sight to see David, in a single day, writing, directing, shooting, editing, composing music, designing graphics and maybe even coding an app from scratch (ask him about the math app he made to help his sons learn.)

Outside of his career as a filmmaker, David is a goofy, loving husband and father, near professional treehouse builder, and one of the best homemade pizza chefs in the universe. With a heart of gold, he’s the type of man to never ask for a lighter load, just broader shoulders, and he’ll find a way to make you laugh too.
